Returns Policy
In the United Kingdom, online retailers must offer a 14-day cooling-off period for customers to change their mind about a purchase:
-
Cancellation: Customers can request a refund within 14 days of receiving the item.
-
Return: Customers have an additional 14 days to return the item.
-
Refund: The retailer must issue a full refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
-
Reason: Customers don't need to provide a reason for the return.
There are some exceptions to the 14-day cooling-off period, including:
-
Items that are personalized or custom-made
-
Items that are perishable, like flowers or fresh food
-
Items that were sealed on delivery but have been opened, like DVDs or computer games
-
Items that date quickly, like newspapers, magazines, or periodicals
-
Items based on betting, gaming, or lotteries
-
Event tickets
-
Digital goods, like music downloads
If an item is faulty, the retailer must cover the cost of return and the customer is usually entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement.
